Our mission by the legacy of our founder, Fr. Angelo D'Agostino, SJ, MD, who dedicated the final years of his live to helping Kenya's most vulnerable children.

The organization and board of directors were created in 1991 by American friends of Fr. Father Angelo D’Agostino, SJ, MD after he asked them for support to fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa. Since its first small event in 1992, Nyumbani USA has conducted in-person and on-line fundraising to support the work of its core mission - to assist orphans and vulnerable children infected with and affected by HIV in Kenya.
For more than 30 years, Nyumbani-USA has provided critical financial support and technical advice that has improved the health and welfare of children in Kenya. Members of COGRF's Board of Directors have expertise in project management, government affairs, international affairs, medicine, and business.
